About this notice

This privacy notice sets out the guidelines on how we use, disclose, and handle your private info when you interact with our firm, henceforth known as Accessible Technology Solutions. Our ABN is 6590089859.

What data do we collect?

The forms of data we collect depend on how you interact with us but includes and is not limited to the following:

  • Your first and last name should you tell us
  • Your locale for accounts and invoice reasons
  • Mobile or landline number, or Zoom ID, or MS Teams
  • Your age
  • Sensitive info such as your blindness, for example “Totally blind and use a screen reader instead of low-vision”
  • Any other info we need to run our business or supply technology and consultation services to you.

What you can do if you feel that Accessible Technology Solutions has breached your privacy?

You can speak to me in the first instance. As the CEO I will do everything in my power to resolve the concern. Following that, if you are still not happy, you can make a complaint directly to OAIC in Australia.

Your rights if connected via a remote session

If the issue we are assisting you is complex we may at times ask to connect to your terminal via NVDA remote, JAWS Tandem, Quick Support for iOS or Android, LogMe123, etc. When this happens, your consultant will let you know and only proceed if you are 100% comfortable with the suggestion. You are under no obligation to concur and can end the session at any time.

Pro tip: for JAWS users you can press Insert+alt+t, NVDA users using the remote 2.2 or higher add -on, tab to disconnect. On Android use Talkback/Voice/assistant to end the session.

Please note: whilst we respect your decision, should you terminate a remote session we may not be able to provide the service required if you do not grant us access.

Make sure that all data like credit card info, or data that you don’t want us to see, is removed from the system prior to us gaining access to your system. Our agents will also remind you before each session.

Survey follow up

By using or asking about our services, you agree to be contacted from time to time for feedback.

We do this to better understand the market we serve, or to follow up on a call or email that was received by a customer. We may also use names of customers in our promo social media posts, engaging in marketing, for continued growth of the firm.
